That’s great guys who’ll teach you how to smoke foodstuffs at home in a fast and safe way, and cook so scrumptious and yummy dishes that Scottish chaps will cry violently out of envy to you. And the reason is that you are the proud owner of Smoking Gun, and they are not, not counting the wind blowing underneath their skirts☺

There are dozens of silver carp recipes. And today I’ll share with you something really cool. Not just a ‘common recipe’, but a ‘wow-recipe’. It’s a common opinion that silver carp is mainly for every day cooking, and will not suit festive or somewhat more sophisticated table. But this recipe challenges stereotypes. Silver carp recipe from chef Yury Chernous is unusual in every sense. Just see here, most tender silver carp fillet cooked in dough and served with carrot ratatouille on reddish carpaccio. Sounds as a music for connoisseur! So scrumptious, so delicious! Try it!

There is hardly even a single person in this world who doesn’t know about baklava. The history of this dish extends back over 700 years. And it is popular not only in the Eastern countries, it stands as a symbol of sophisticated national delight all over the world.

Baklava holds pride of place in the treasury of Turkish, Armenian, Azerbaijan cuisines, as well as in many Arabian countries, Lezgians and Crimean Tatars. And each of these nations has their own baklava recipes. Today I’ll share with you Goris baklava recipe that I got from the Armenian chef Artak Sarkysyan. Generally speaking, that’s a simple baklava recipe and everyone will like it. I’m telling you – I’m pretty sure that everyone will like it☺ Try to cook it and then you’ll see excited faces of your nearest and dearest eating this baklava with zest. And I’ll appreciate if you share your impressions with me ☺

Armenian cuisine is so rich in great, unique, but at the same time simple recipes. Recently I shared with you a gata recipe that is an Armenian national pastry. Have you tried it already? Well, what’s your impression?

Wedding Cake

and the dessert bar

At a wedding I recently attended:

This salad recipe is very simple and even sounds familiar. But you’ll start appreciating the flavour in the course of cooking it. Chef Alexei Shvets is even crazier than us. He ordered “Let’s smoke it”, and waved his hand. In fact, smoked apple-flavored salmon tastes hell delicious and looks gorgeous. And he was not waving his hand, but for sure he was using the Smoking Gun device.

Butter is very common product in almost every family, it’s even hard to recommend how to eat it and with what. But actually we can focus more on the last issue.

It’s common to add butter to sandwiches, porridges, pasta, mashed potato, fish, caviar or cheese. But also there are smart recipes to cook enrich butter with different flavours, for example with basil, Parmesan and sun-dried tomatoes. Why not? And to add to steak, pork on the bone, poultry, potato or fish.

These recipes were generously shared by my friend and talented chef Alex Shvets. Here you have 7 butter recipes with different flavours for different kinds of dishes. Try it! A small thing that will greatly enrich flavor of your usual dishes. As they say it, perfection is in details.

Armenian gata has different names in different regions of the country: gata, katah or kada. As a matter of fact, that’s a sweet dessert, the most popular Armenian pastry. It looks like pies with vanilla filling or puff pastry. Gata is easy to cook, but its taste is unusual and complex

Gata is very popular and respected in Armenian cuisine. High-skilled chefs and experienced housewives bake it for all holidays, even for weddings. On this day, the bride, alongside with her dowry, brings a large tray of baklava and necessarily 4-6 sheets of gata. When women are dressing the bride, they are treated with gata, beautifully wrapped in transparent paper. Gata was even noticed in the very popular movie “Prisoner of the Caucasus.” You see, now you have to try it :)

Ribeye is a piece from the rib edge of expensive marbled beef, with a cross-cut resembling the shape of an eye. Hence the name is ribeye. Usually the beef from Australia, New Zealand and the United States is the best. Due to the high marbling, there is enough fat in ribeye, so it’s very soft. '
